Before first use
Warning! Refer to the Safety chapters.
Caution! To open the oven door, always
hold the handle in the centre.
Initial Cleaning
Remove all parts from the appliance.
Clean the appliance before first use.
Caution! Do not use abrasive cleaning
agents! This can damage the surface.
Refer to chapter "Care and Cleaning".
Preheating
Preheat the empty appliance to burn off the re-
maining grease.

Set the function
and the maximum tem-
perature.
2. Let the appliance operate for 45 minutes.

Set the function
. The maximum temper-
ature for this function is 210 °C.
4. Let the appliance operate for 15 minutes.
Accessories can become hotter than usually.
The appliance can emit an odour and smoke.
This is normal. Make sure that the airflow is suf-
ficient.

(1 - lowest heat setting, 9 -
highest heat setting)
1. Turn the control knob to a necessary heat
setting. The hob control indicator comes
on.
2. To complete the cooking process, turn the
control knob to the
position. If all cook-
ing zones are deactivated, the hob control
indicator goes out.
Use the residual heat to decrease energy
consumption. Deactivate the cooking zone
approximately 5 - 10 minutes before the cook-
ing is completed.

The residual heat indicator comes on when a
cooking zone is hot.
Warning! Risk of burns from residual
heat!
Hob - Helpful hints and tips
Cookware
The bottom of the cookware must be as
thick and flat as possible.
Cookware made of enamelled steel and
with aluminium or copper bottoms can
cause discoloration on glass ceramic
surface.
Energy saving
If possible, always put the lids on the
cookware.
Put cookware on a cooking zone before
you start it.
Stop the cooking zones before the end
of the cooking time to use residual heat.
The bottom of pans and cooking zones
must have the same dimension.
